    Description

    This auction is for a premium quality rare and unused 1960's to 70's vintage Western Cutlery W49 hunting and fighting Bowie knife with the original leather sheath. This top of the line Bowie knife is unmarked and has an unrefined  factory blade edge. This classic knife may have escaped the factory before it was 100% completed without a maker mark and an unsharpened blade edge but otherwise it is still in excellent, unused, mint like condition. The handle is a polished hardwood, it has a big brass blade guard, and a clip point Bowie full tang high carbon stainless steel blade with a brushed satin finish. The top grain leather sheath is also in excellent, unused condition. The knife measures 14 3/4" with a 9 1/2" blade and in the sheath the weight is 1 lb. 11 oz.
